Full Time: The final whistle blows and the Lions are put out of their misery, South Hobart 10-0 victors in a one sided contest.

90+2′ GOAL! 10-0! Schmidt! again, another corner swung in that isn’t dealt with and Schmidt pokes home from all of 2 yards out.

86′ Balstead collides hard with Thomas, who just stood his ground and it’s Balstead who has come off worse for wear, on the ground, as if he ran into a brick wall there.

85′ Shot off! Cook unleashes a ferocious drive from 25 yards that flies wide of the mark.

83′ Slice of Cheese, Castaneda into the book for a sliding challenge.

81′ And another save from Kamara, this time Cook saunters into the box, skipping past a defender but his shot is well denied. Swiss Cheese at the back from the Lions though, it’s been all too easy for South.

79′ Save! Another good stop from Kamara this time at point blank range, again denying Morton after Feral got in behind down the right and cut it back to him.

77′ Save! A fine diving save from Kamara, at full extension to deny a low drive from Morton.

75′ Shot off! Again South Hobart get in behind on the right, this time Schmidt opts to shoot and finds the side netting. They’ve torn them apart with those balls to release the wingers all day long.

Sub- Feral comes on for Ludford.

72′ GOAL! 9-0! Kobe Kemp with a lovely volley, Quaile played in a long through ball, Kemp snuck in behind the defence all alone and finished tidily.

Double Sub- Nugent and Balstead replace Gates and Yuel for the Lions

68′ Shot off! Kemp puts in a lovely cross to an unmarked Thomas who heads over the bar.

65′ Shot off! Kovadio comes close to curling in a stunner from outside the box it lands on the roof of the net.

63′ Shot off! Gorrie trying the spectacular long range chip but its over the bar.

Sub- Castaneda replaces Walter.

61′ GOAL! 8-0! The procession continues,Schmidt scores with his first touch. A Kemp corner is flicked on by Walter to Schmidt who heads home from close range.

Sub- Schmidt comes on for Brennan

59′ GOAL! 7-0! Morton again, this time Kemp slides through a perfect through ball, he runs onto it and guides it past Kamara.

49′ GOAL 6-0! Cook’s cross is blocked by Robinson, but it rolls perfectly into the path of Brennan at the top of the box who smashes it home.

46′ Back underway in the second half.

Half Time: The half time whistle must be music to the Lions ears, they have been brought utterly undone by South. It’s been a disaster at the back, just basic errors and then a lack of discipline have conspired to have this game settled already. Second half must be damage control or this could get very, very ugly.

39′ GOAL 5-0! And now down by five as Walter strokes home the spot kick.

38′ Slice of Tomato! Akakpo gets in the back of Walter as in ran into the box and the referee points to the spot, he cops a Cheese for the foul, and another for dissent. Lions down to 10 men.

37′ GOAL! 4-0! Akakpo commits a terrible turnover at the back, is robbed of it by Morton who races in on goal and smashes in a fifth.

34′ GOAL! 3-0! And it tells! Alex Walter with an outstanding goal, took it on the edge of the box on the right hand side, was allowed to drift inside and was given too much space as he smashed a drive into the far corner of the net. This is getting ugly already.

33′ Shot off! Kemp the latest to glance a header just wide of the mark, not much in that either. South dialling up the pressure!

32′ Save! Double Chance. A free kick is swung in which Morton meets with a glancing header, forcing a fine diving stop from Kamara, the ball gets crossed back in and Oscar Thomas heads over the bar.

29′ GOAL! 2-0! Jacob Brennan! Kobe Kemp takes it, dinks a lobbed chip over the top of the defence, Brennan controls it and volleys it home.

28′ Shot off! Markaj has his pocket picked by Kemp, who threads it to Morton whose drive from range is likewise, just slightly past the post.

27′ Shot off! Walter jinks inside and launches a love powerful drive that is just past the post, a sprawling Kamara looked to have it covered though.

26′ Shot off! Best attacking move of the game as Kovadio threads through Cowen with a lovely through ball, he races onto it but from a slight angle and outside the box he drags a powerful shot wide of the far post.

25′ Sub- Herweynen comes on for Ntale who seems to have picked up a knock.

23′ Shot on! A horrible back pass presents an opening for Brennan but his shot is fired tamely at Kamara.

20′ Shot off! Kovadio has a shy from a mile out but pulls the shot horribly and it’s well wide.

18′ The Lions have a chance to break 4 on 3 but Cowen puts the early pass straight down Ludfords throat, can’t afford to waste openings like that.

16′ Shot block! Tremendous sliding block from Ntale to deny Cook who perhaps should have pulled the trigger a step earlier as he surged into the box.

11′ GOAL! 1-0 South Hobart, Alex Walter taps home from close range, was all alone in the box as Jacob Brennan fed it back to him. Lions appeal for offside but the goal is good.

10′ Shot off! Kemp Volleys over the bar with the first real chance of the game. Gorrie overlapped and put in a great cross but Kemp can’t control his acrobatic effort. South starting to work into the game and are knocking the ball around with some tidy passes around the box.

6′ Kovadio launches a good ball over the top but it just slides away from Cowen before he can control it. Bright start from the Lions, they are pushing plenty of numbers forward.

4′ Quaile makes a superb sliding challenge to see it away from Kovadio as he stormed into the box.

1′ Kick off we are underway. Thunderstruck blasting out around Darcy Street and we might well get some of that later on given the inclement weather here.

Welcome to Darcy Street for this clash between South Hobart and Kingborough Lions. Andrew Cooling blogging this one for you on a cold, rainy day at the Theatre of Dreams. To say the Lions need a win here is an understatement but standing in their way will be a quality South Hobart side who are very tough to beat anywhere, let alone on their home turf.
