Taroona v Launceston City

In what looks the game of the round Taroona and Launceston City both get to bounce back from their Olympia inflicted wounds when they meet at Kelvedon Park. The two meetings between the sides in the Super League were both played up North, with City resounding 7-1 winners the first time around before a much closer game 2 saw City winning 2-0. They also played out a thrilling Women’s Statewide Cup semi final at Kelvedon, but the result was the same again with City sneaking home. Their midfield class has been the difference in these games with Bygrave in particular a stand out. They have shown they are just that bit better than the Pirates this year, who are still searching for that major scalp. With City and Olympia in the next week they get the chance to claim one, but there is the chance Taroona’s heavy schedule might just be starting to take it’s toll, with a brutal 8 games in 24 days for the month of August! As such they could be forgiven for being tired for this one.
