95′ Full time! Kingborough 8-0 Clarence

93′ Goal to Kingborough! James Hall gets the ball inside the area, cuts back on his defender and places it into the top corner with his left foot.

83′ Goal to Kingborough! Clarence play the ball back to French in goals, his clearance is made under pressure and falls at the feet of the Lions. Downes is played through on goal with an acre of space, and he finishes coolly.

After some steady play early in the half, Clarence have dropped off steeply late. The Lions are dominating the play, but making fewer chances than in the first half.

76′ Chance for Clarence! Cody Snell finds some space around the penalty spot, but his shot hits the woodwork. No luck for Clarence here!

72′ Goal to Kingborough! A fantastic goal from the Lions! Gutierrez brings out the fancy footwork and beats his man down the right, his cross is a bullet to the back post and is met by the diving Tom McDonald’s head. Great buildup, great finish, great goal!

68′ And another solid save from French, as he keeps out a contested shot from close range. The Clarence gloveman has been impressive despite the scoreline.

66′ Chance to Kingborough! Downes lets rip with a thunderbolt from well outside the area, but French saves spectacularly and tips it over the bar.

Clarence have started to find some forward momentum early in the half, but they’re still struggling to create any real chances.

52′ Cade Smith gets Clarence’s second shot of the game away as a corner falls to him at the edge of the box, but it rolls wide.

46′ Keenan Douce finds space on the right straight from kickoff, his cross finds the head of Downes but it sneaks wide of the goal.

45′ The Lions get the second half underway.

This has been a dominant performance from the Lions, and they thoroughly deserve such a commanding lead.

Clarence have barely had a forward foray, as Kingborough’s midfield has pinned them down in the backline and forced constant turnover of possession.

49′ And that’s half time, with Kingborough leading Clarence 5-0.

48′ Gutierrez receives the pass at the edge of the box, turns his man and fires, but French makes a fantastic reflex save.

47′ Goal to Kingborough! Clarence look to play through the middle, but Gutierrez nabs an errant pass, waltzes unopposed into the box and slots his second! 5-0 Lions in the first half!

41′ Danny Cowen has his first real chance of the game, but the Lions skipper fires over the top.

38′ Chance for Kingborough! Chris Downes blasts a shot from inside the area, but it’s beaten away for a corner by Jake French.

33′ Goal to Kingborough! Jacob Brennan probes into the box, his shot is scuffed but it goes across goal to the feet of Gutierrez who puts it away. A well deserved goal!

31′ Chance for Clarence! Cade Smith gets a header towards goal, but it’s saved low by Stalker.

29′ Chance for Kingborough! Gutierrez is causing havoc, as he sizes up yet another long chance and fires over the top.

Clarence have steadied slightly in the last five minutes, but it’s still been all Lions so far.

21′ Goal to Kingborough! A mazey run from Gutierrez before he plays in Kantzos on the left. He steadies and fires home into the far bottom corner!

18′ Chance to Kingborough! It’s Gutierrez again, as he lets fly from the edge of the box and this time hits the post!

16′ Goal to Kingborough! A set piece from near halfway bounces around the area and eventually finds Phillip Kantzos, who finds the net!

11′ Goal to Kingborough! A short cross low from the right finds its way to Chris Downes, and he taps it in from the six yard box!

8′ Chance to Kingborough! The first corner of the game falls to Horacio Gutierrez, and his shot from the edge of the box crashes into the crossbar!

6′ Dipendra Kunwar is looking dangerous early, snaking in behind the defence and crossing but straight into the arms of Stalker once again.

3′ Daniel Silva looks to have picked up a very early injury, and he’s subbed off for Noah Smithies-Sharp within the first three minutes. A tough blow for the Lions.

2′ Clarence have the first real foray forward, but a through ball to Cade Smith is easily cut out by Mitchell Stalker in goal.

1′ We are underway here at The Den, as both Kingborough and Clarence look for their first win of the season.
