Warriors Continue Winning Ways
- Updated: August 1, 2020

The Olympia FC Warriors have cruised to a resounding 4-0 win over Ulverstone at Warrior Park in their Round 3 Women’s Super League clash. The home side looked in control for most the day and were rarely troubled as they replicated the scoreline from their Statewide Cup game 3 weeks prior.
Bonnie Davies opened the scoring for the home side in the 7th minute when she was played through one on one with keeper Georgia Anderson. Davies was able to skip around Anderson and then finished cooly into an open net.

At the 23rd minute mark Mia Cane then got on the board and it was in outstanding fashion.
Cane made her charge up the left wing and spotted Anderson off her line. Cane took aim and finished into the top right corner for a lovely finish that left the keeper completely stranded.
Ulverstone to their credit soon woke up after conceding those goals and began to lock down their defensive structure. The Half time whistle sounded and the visitors were trailing 2-0.

Maddie Black then scored the Warriors third goal in the second half after coming out the best in a scramble for the ball that resulted from a corner.
The game appeared set to end that way, but in stoppage time Olivia Bomford was awarded a penalty kick.
Up stepped Bomford, who made no mistake hitting the top right and ending the game 4-0 to Olympia.

Olympia will look to make it 4 wins from 4 next week when they host University whist Ulverstone will face the daunting task of hosting the Clarence Zebras at the Ulverstone Showgrounds.
